George has a magical power known as The Sight. It's essentially a magical augmentation to his actual eyesight, allowing him to narrow in on details, along with giving him much sharper instincts for things.
Things he can tell:
- if someone is nearby. If he knows the person well, it can extend to knowing that specific person is nearby
- if someone is lying or holding something back from him
- if someone has magical powers.
- if magic is being used, if an item is magical.
- if someone has been touched by the gods
- if someone is ill in some way
- on occasion, if someone will be a friend or an enemy
He also can sense sometimes if it'll be good for him to get to know a person, or do a certain thing.
HOWEVER, where he's from, if a person has the Gift (the standard magical power) he can't see much about them, outside of noticing their presence. This can easily apply or not apply to the magical people of other worlds.
So that's where the questions come in.
Just fill out the above in a comment and I'll refer to it when threading with you.

loki laufeyson;
Does your character have magic? What kind/would it feel different than the Gift (standard magic) to him?
His magic is difficult to define; in essence, Loki can create any number of solutions from any number of possibilities. He could use the word 'Abracadabra' with some jammy, bacon-y ritual signs thrown in and something would probably happen. "Me? I can do finesse. Anything one can manage with a wand and a word is within my skillful purview." Magic for Loki is "Taking a Lie and making it Truth". Grimoires, etc, whatever he picks up, "I've got a D&D manual somewhere".
He works primarily with illusions and lies but the latter has been stripped from him for the moment in his canon, so he'll be trying to skirt around truths wherever he feels it's necessary. And he's also a shapeshifter and teleportor!
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Loki works on the theory of Chaos Being Change, so it would make sense for him to sometimes completely evade notice and at others to casually let himself be known, he's the sneakiest of sneaks but he does like some attention.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Loki is very literally a god, you can play with that however you wish! He's an old, old soul, newly reincarnated (after a fashion) twice. He also has a godly density which makes him 3X heavier than normal people and more likely to get the walls shaking if he's angry.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
I can't think of anything! His info post is this a-way!
Zelos Wilder/Kaneis Major
Does your character have magic? What kind/would it feel different than the Gift (standard magic) to him?
Yes! He has elemental magic, which I imagine feels pretty much the same.
His other brand of magic is...weirder. Since he's an angel, so his powers are definitely holy/light based relating to that as well as a whole host of other wacky powers - BUT it also turns out the goddess of his world was a big old lie so he wasn't exactly touched by any god like people thought. idk how that works with George's sight. However, the crystal on his chest is definitely the central source of power for his magic.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I'm flexible!
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
I'm flexible with anything!
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
I CAN'T REMEMBER GEORGE CANON SO WELL SO IDEK IF HE"D THINK TO DO THIS- but I don't recommend stealing his crystal. Zelos/Kaneis needs that to survive and it has a nasty tendency to consume souls or turn people who wield it improperly into monsters. Whoops.
Allen Walker;
Idk how would Jesus look.
But no really Allen is considered to be one of those chosen by God and his powers relate to that. It's mostly focused in his left arm if George's sight can pinpoint it enough- but there's smaller doses of that power throughout the rest of him too. If he can detect power level, it's definitely on the high end
He can also pick up on the scar on his face - it's a type of curse! We'll say it's similar type of magic to the Gift.
HOWEVER IF GEORGE TRIES TO SEE ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT HIM....
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Unfortunately for George- beyond what I listed above, there's something about Allen himself that makes sensors like this go on the fritz. It shouldn't be painful for George- but he won't be able to get any information beyond there is something WEIRD going on that makes Allen too blurry to read.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
I can't think of anything I haven't already mentioned!
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
I can't think of anything!

Duke has elemental-based magic. It's probably fairly similar? Do this X way, get X result, and it's a mostly internal source. (just an internal source he can replenish really quickly)
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Sometimes working makes the most sense for me? Duke as a lot of magic, so it might be "it works when he's not doing much magically, but the more he does the wonkier the sight gets"
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Duke almost always holds information back.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
Duke has a lot of magic I should feel sorry-

Asteffiel is a slightly magical plant-being on his own! That definitely should feel a bit weird - maybe a little more along how the Immortals feel? (I can't remember if anyone with Sight looks at any Immortals and describes it. Welp.) He's got minor natural empathy.
Other than that, Asteffiel is a necromancer. He doesn't do the whole raising of dead bodies to put souls back in, but does a "there was a body here, I can use its bones and magic to make it look sort of fleshy and do things for me". Probably not like the Gift at all!
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I think it works most of the time but flickers once in a while because ??? is this? He's lacking his protection because.. not near Mother.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
He might off and on tip the "ill in some way" sense! Asteffiel has some sliding mental stability.

If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense? You know Hawke well enough to know what George would get from all your specific points, I think. Would he be able to tell Hawke's died? that's ...an interesting question.

Does your character have magic? What kind/would it feel different than the Gift (standard magic) to him? Yes, she does have magic! They call it spirit artes in her canon. In Xillia-verse, humans (or... Rieze Maxians at least) have an organ in their brain called a mana lobe, which allows them to channel mana/life energy to spirits in exchange for spells. I guess I'll say it might feel a bit different!
And another note, a majority of Elize's offensive spells are dark-based and the rest is healing/support (which she mostly does.)
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I don't think her kind of magic would protect her from it.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
I can't think of anything particular!
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
At the moment, Elize is convinced she can't cast magic anymore, although she actually can. She's from a very early point in her canon where she relies on her talking doll (a magic augmentation, pretty much) - and without him, she just thinks she can't fight anymore. But this may change soon depending on what's going on in DF/and maybe encouragement from CR. I might update/edit this later!

Hard to say. Within Vash is the power to create or destroy just about anything and everything. BUT it's not considered magic on his world, but the natural ability of his kind. Magic does not exist in his world and his kind has that power though science as Vash is the natural evolution from a species made by mankind, Although Vash likes to play human so much he's never tried to tap into that power to learn how to use/control it. It is also not limitless. So I always leave this up to the player if their character would see it as magic or not as I'm fine with it either way.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I'm 100% cool with George reading anything off Vash. If you go yes his power is magic then Cash should probably be safe from it given the high levels. If it's just power go nuts reading Vash
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Vash is a CRONIC liar. But not in a way that would hurt people. He lies about being happy when he's sad, what he is, how good a gunman he is, ect ect. Vash's goal in life is to create a world that is nothing but love and peace. Often throwing himself in danger to save lives, but making it look like he did it on accident. So while the sight will show Vash to be a dirty liar, it should also show him as being someone safe to befriend.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? I don't think so, but if you ever need/want more info on Vash just PM me or catch me on plurk

Axel's got some fairly run of the mill magic--elemental stuff, status effects, the usual vidya game fare. what might feel a little off is his Darkness. he's kind of half Darkness--he's a Nobody and isn't supposed to have emotions, but he kinda does anyway, and his Darkness allows him to essentially teleport. in canon Darkness seems to have a scent to it that sensitive people pick up on, though there's no indication just what it smells like.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
i'm fine either way, but Axel is a very accomplished liar. like seasoned double- and triple-crosser accomplished.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Nobodies technically don't have hearts, though after a while the body starts growing a new one. this is the ethereal heart, the emotional epicenter, not the physical organ, for the record. so while Axel does emote a lot more than a Nobody really ought to, his emotions might feel stunted or unnatural.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
nothing in particular; i'm always willing to chat about something if you need more info!
Kairi - Kingdom Hearts
From what I can gather, just about everyone in Kairi's universe is capable of using magic (elemental, mostly, mixed with some time and other RPG stuff) to an extent so there's likely some latent in her. She's never used it herself (yet) so I'm not sure if he'd be able to sense that or not since she's never actually drawn on it.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I don't think she has anything that would stop his Sight. She's not particularly good at lying or hiding much to begin with...
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Kairi is something called a Princess of Heart in her canon. She's one of seven girls who have absolutely no Darkness in her heart, just Light. So if George's Sight can pick up on that, it'd be like a flashlight straight to the eyes.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? Nope! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me at this account!
Shirley Fennes
Yup! She's a standard RPG mage (elemental spells/healing/support), with the magic described in-universe as the blessings of her world's (sentient, basically-a-god) ocean so watery vibes are pretty likely.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Nah.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Aside from the magic Shirley is pretty much the ocean's mouthpiece and at one point she was basically its avatar, so "touched by gods" probably applies here.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
George Cooper, oh my gosh.

Not by the conventional definition, no!
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
No blocks here with the above considered I'd say.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Despite the above, Megaman here does have a couple of weird things going for him, though I'm not familiar with George's canon and so I'm not sure what might show up for George's Sight and what won't, since none of it is...necessarily magic? I'll expand on this below. Otherwise he's generally a very pleasant and honest kid to be around, he'll readily be your friend and will help you with technology things...George is free to pick up/extrapolate these things the normal way or the Sight way. George can also track his presence if he wants.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
So THINGS I'M NOT SURE ABOUT: for one, Megaman is a computer program that's been uploaded into a robot frame, though he looks relatively human enough on the outside until you touch him/talk to him long enough. He's also a virtual ghost! Which is to say that he used to be human, but died, and then had his soul uploaded online by his computer wizard dad
it's a long story. This is enough of a presence to give mediums/fellow spirits mild heebie jeebies?? But yes. I think I'll leave these factors up to your discretion, though--I'm quite happy with presuming neither of these things would show up in George's sight, but if you'd like to incorporate them somehow feel more than free to! o/River
River doesn't have traditional magic, she has extremely heightened mental abilities that allow her to read minds.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
So IDK what that would look like to him but feel free!
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
I don't really have anything for this one, it's totally up to you.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
As he can sense illness, I'd think he could probably tell that something is up with her brain? I AM JUST GUESSING?

Does your character have magic? What kind/would it feel different than the Gift (standard magic) to him? Cole is a bubble of compassion, empathy and magic. He's a spirit of Compassion who has made himself a body out of... willpower. He's constantly using his magic, it's what he is and just is there, all the time, reaching out to the world.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions? Cole can make himself invisible. This would probably work periodically, because what he does is make people not notice him, rather than make himself invisible. If George were looking, he'd see him, but if he wasn't looking for anything, I imagine Cole would slip by unnoticed.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
All the compassion ever. Nearly everything he does is to help others and he's constantly feeling what others feel tot ry and help them. Cole is probably a big bundle of warm feelings.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? I'm available on plurk and aim as jemisard and always willing to chat things over.

CHRIS HALLIWELL (
AARON (
O'DANYA MITNU (
Does your character have magic? What kind/would it feel different than the Gift (standard magic) to him?
Chris | Yes to both. He has a large amount of power, and this power is Wiccan/demonic.
Aaron | No magic per se, but Aaron has more along the lines of genetic powers bordering on magic? Also can hold an infinite amount of other powers. Chief among those powers are shapeshifting and teleportation.
O'danya | SO MUCH MAGIC. It's very unaspected, able to be molded into anything with proper understanding of what you're doing.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Chris | Go ahead. He doesn't have anything to block it.
Aaron | Same as above.
O'danya | Has something called the Echo which basically transcends communication barriers and lets her see other peoples' memories, so it might make some kind of feedback loop? However you wanna do that.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Chris | That demonic heritage (1/4) is probably really obvious. Despite him being neutral on the scale of good/evil, the demon parts might mess that up.
Aaron | That Aaron is holding a lot back. Possibly their real age? (Twelve year old...) Depending on how specific you want to get here.
O'danya | She's been touched by the Mothercrystal, the deity of their planet, but Hydaelyn's actual presence and protection seems to have been swept away by the king dragon, Midgardsormr. We don't know, either.

None whatsoever!
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Absolutely anything goes. She lies when she feels it's necessary (and she's pretty good at it), but I have no objections to her being caught at it - it just makes her try harder. But that's assuming a situation like that even comes up.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
Not for now, I'll edit if I think of anything.

If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions? What's the fun in that? Do your thing George!
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense? She has 3 magical items on her. A cloak, her chainmail shirt, and her boots. They each do different things, but they'd feel pretty standard magic-wise.
Her bard magic will also feel pretty standard.
But in general, most people who can sense stuff about her in this way, have noticed that she has an aura of death, but she's not evil. You're free to play with it however you like.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? She has the ability to transform into a giant murder monster. If/when that ever happens, he's free to sense the alteration as well, if you want him to.

Yes! I'd assume Harry Potter-style magic is pretty standard? (It's been forever and a day since I read any Tamora Pierce books)
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
It can if you want it to, but I'm good either way.

He's definitely got magic. And once he gets his wand back, that's definitely magical as well. Occasionally lies (I'll let you know when/if that is relevant). Not ill, not touched by the gods.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
ILU!!! Very happy we're in a game together again.

Mal has a tendency to lie or stretch the truth in most situations, especially about her own emotional/mental state, presenting as significantly more confident than she actually is. Other lies or half-truths will be stated in brackets or can be asked about.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? <3
Jennifer Jones
Her magic to his Sight would probably feel like a condensed ball of light and heat in her soul, but intense. Her soul itself + its magic are the only thing powerful enough to open the Gates of Hell in her world, so p much the most powerful being there is? But has literally no idea how to access any of it herself, so it just sits and doesn't get used except as a shield sometimes. It can be used as energy, it can be translated into elemental magic. Being within about 100 miles of her, the magic itself is like a spotlight beacon to anyone that senses magic. (so demons, dragons, mages, etc).
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
It's not really a thing she can turn off or cover up, so Sight away!
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
- how fucking ridiculous the level/power of magic there is in there
- her soul itself is hella old even though she... personally isn't. She's part of a reincarnation cycle where her soul is reincarnated every 200 years for eternity
- that soul is intricately connected to Hell
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? still sparking at george from afar
Usagi Tsukino
Yes, in a way. Usagi is quite powerful, thanks to her silver crystal which also happens to be tied to her life force. She uses it to "fight evil" as cliche as that sounds, and as a result is viewed as "good and pure". It's explained in her canon that a source of such great light creates shadow just as great. So Usagi is one side of a coin in her universe, and is destined to fight off the other side that her existence creates. Her abilities generally revolve around healing and purification, and can be used both offensively and defensively.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
No, he may feel free to sense her abilities at your discretion.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
I imagine it would come across as a fairly bright, luminous aura, maybe? You're welcome to play with it how you wish.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed? nope! I may add if I think of anything, but I can't right now.
Tekhetsio
Tek is literally made of magic. Dragons are both conduits and fonts of elemental and spiritual energy. So there's that. And his magic feels extremely powerful, spiritual, and natural (despite being distinctly death-flavored.)
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
Tek tends to let his aura/energy 'bleed' more than he should, allowing others to pick it up more easily, because he's lazy. When he's conscious of it, though, he can pull himself together more neatly, feeling far more human and mundane. So, he may do this if he's feeling threatened or cautious. Otherwise, even normal humans can feel his aura sometimes.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Gosh everything. It could be such a good interaction-starter. Let me list the things I can think of off the top of my head: Tek is really a giant magical dragon, and he keeps the majority of his soul in a stone hanging around his neck while in human form. He is always lying or holding back information. He is so touched by gods that dragons are basically his world's equivalent of angels. And don't know if he would be able to pick this up, but Tek has some soul-sickness because of the huge chunks of soul that have been removed from him. He also is disease, because that falls under the elemental realm of death. He also has a long history of being a traitorous douchebag, but don't know if that would make him read as an 'enemy' or not.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
No idea! Tek's got a lot of stuff going on with him, being that he's an +870 year old dragon. His information post is Here.
Coil Lenn
Yesss... Coil is a practicing necromancer--basically a cleric of an abhorrent, unholy god. It's gross, and probably feels like everything unnatural that should not be. Most of his magic has to do with corrupting, controlling, and unmaking. He is also a Clearsight, but I don't think that has any kind of magical signature.
If yes, would you like their magic to protect them from George's Sight? Would you like it to work sometimes but for there to be exceptions?
I think Coil would be pretty readable, unless he warded himself or something.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Aside from his usual magic, he has also sort of... absorbed a small part of a necromantic "god," which now lives inside of him and gives him a boost to his powers. Seeing that could be pretty awesome. He's also a big liar, despite being mute, and is generally lawful-evil aligned.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
Coil's information post is Here, but it's still very unfinished.

No magic! Just an elf.
If you would like his Sight to work, is there anything in particular George would sense? Is there anything you would like him to sense?
Nel is all automatic smiles and optimism, but he's suuuuuch a liar, in the fact that he's constantly putting up a front of well-trained charm and friendliness. He's even a fantastic liar to himself. His whole life is a pile of denial in order to cope, so he probably glows with lies. If that's a thing. And as for being able to see if they're sick, Nel also has a big ol' drug addiction, if that would show up.
Anything else you would like to add? Anything I've missed?
Nel's info post (along with trigger and content warnings) is Here!
